Description:COTA is seeking a student currently enrolled in a Human Resources Bachelor's/Master’s program to participate in a paid internship. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in Human Resources, particularly in the area of recruitment.

The Human Resources Intern will be responsible for assisting the HR Recruiter in achieving the monthly recruitment quotas for bus operators, as well as the recruitment of other internship positions within the office. In this role, you will gain firsthand experience in interviewing candidates and making independent hiring decisions. In addition, you will acquire valuable experience in other areas of HR such as, Training & Development and Labor Relations.
Duties:• Selection and interviewing of candidates for vacant positions
• Provides support for briefings/informational sessions
• Conducts reference verifications
• Coordinates the In-Service for new hires
• Participates in local career fairs as a recruiter
• Assists with the various other HR projects and duties
Qualifications:• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergrad/graduate Human Resources program with the ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, initiator and personable
• Driven by challenges and the opportunity to being taken out of one’s comfort zone
• Dependable, organized and able to effectively manage various projects simultaneously
