|Description:||The IT Security Manager ensures the security of our network so that COTAs services are safe, reliable and trustworthy.|
|Duties:|| Manages the implementation of corporate policies, programs, and procedures to cost-effectively protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction. |
Develops, maintains, publishes, and enforces corporate information security standards and guidelines encompassing data and intellectual security.
Ensures compliance with local, state and federal guidelines regarding emergency and security.
Leads risk management assessments and prioritizes findings with Leadership.
Proactively protects the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information in the custody of, or processed by, the company, providing reports to superiors regarding the effectiveness of network and data security and making recommendations for the adoption of new procedures and technologies as required.
Manages and coordinates compliance for required industry audits by helping to identify issues, anticipate and solve problems, and provide customer service to internal and external customers based on their ability to prioritize and initiate solutions.
|Qualifications:||STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS:|
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; a viable combination of experience and education will be considered.
Must have seven to ten (7-10) years experience in IT Security or related field.
Must have excellent human resources skills and the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external resources to resolve potential conflicts and maintain a teamwork atmosphere.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated experience delivering presentations to management at all levels and to external audiences.
Must have excellent organizational, analytical and decision-making skills and the ability to multitask.
Knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering Methodology for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) projects is a plus.

Communication effectiveness oral and written
Timely, effective decision making
o CISSP certification a plus
o Proven experience developing and leading implementation of a comprehensive IT security program
o Technical experience with Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems and Cisco based network equipment
